Hello Portland Sound and Qi lovers,

We wish you a very happy Solstice and New Year as we enter 2012 and the Year of the Water Dragon. The Yang energy is now returning and beginning to grow in this time of the year which in the Yijing (I Ching), or Book of Changes, is related
to the Fu (復) hexagram. Fu, often translated as "Return," relates to the winter solstice and the hidden return of the light principle. There is an ancient saying in China, "At winter solstice, Yang begins to surge." This is the perfect time to nourish, cultivate and protect your inner flame as if guarding a delicate candle flame from a blowing wind. Keep a candle lit in your home to remind you of the returning of the light and find your Way, your Dao, to cultivate the sacred within your body, mind and spirit.
